This church is located where in the Middle Ages
was the North-eastern limit of the city. Its name recalls the groves
(fratte) which used to abound in the vicinity. Early in the 17C
the rebuilding of the church was begun and completed by Borromini.
Interesting is the view of the campanile and the dome which Borromini
treated as precious objects. Inside the church there are two Bernini’s
Angels sculpted in 1669.
