HOMEPAGE > ROME SUBWAY |
The Rome
Subway (Metropolitana) is composed by two main lines: the red
coloured Line A, leads from
Anagnina (in the south-east) to Battistini (in the west) and the
blue coloured Line B runs from
Laurentina (in the south-west) to Rebibbia (in the north-east).
The two lines are characterised by an X shape, meeting each other
at the Central Railway Station Termini.
The 'metrebus' ticket costs 1.00 euro and it is valid on buses,
trams, metropolitana (subway) and local trains within the city boundaries
(zone A). All tickets are valid for 75 minutes of travel anywhere
in Rome and it allows one subway journey and the possibility to
take every buses during that time. There's also the possibility
to buy weekly tickets. The metro runs every few minutes from 5:30
a.m. until 11:30 p.m. (00:30 a.m. on Saturdays).
